The Pax Romana Catholic Students of Kintampo College of Health and Well-being, in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana, have elected into office, new Executives for the next academic year. Presiding over the handing over ceremony on behalf of the Chaplain of the Catholic Students, Rev. Fr. Joachim Takyia, the Secretary to the Catholic Bishop of Techiman, congratulated both the outgoing and incoming executives and exhorted them to emulate Christ the Good Shepherd. Fr. Joachim encouraged the new Executives to develop and very good and loving relationship with their fellow Catholics in the College. They, like Christ, should work hard to ‘know their sheep and the sheep to know them’; they should lay down their lives for the sheep and protect them from ‘wolves’ (cf. John 10:14-16).

Fr. Joachim iterated that, considering the challenges that the church in Ghana is facing today, leadership of the Pax Romana ought to create peace, harmony and reconciliation among the Catholic students on campus by bringing those who go astray back to the fold, and seeking out converts so that ‘there would be one flock, one shepherd’ (cf. John 10:16)
